Talk to a Concrete Lifting Expert

I thought I was going to have to jackhammer all my sunken concrete and pour new sections.  Then my neighbor told me to call Nick at Get-Leveled and he saved me thousands of dollars!  Now my driveway looks awesome and it’s safe for everyone.

Do yourself a favor and talk to a true expert in concrete work.

Stephen K.

My township told me that if I don’t fix my sidewalk, I would be fined!  Thankfully, I found the guys at Get Leveled.

Thank you so much Nick!

Lisa B.

I received a letter from my insurance company telling me they were going to drop my from my home insurance if I didn’t fix my concrete within 30 days.

My co-worker told me to call Get Leveled.  They came out quickly, leveled my concrete and got my insurance company off my back.

Totally a lifesaver!

Concrete Lifting Process

High Density polyurethane material is injected under the slab as a liquid and expands before curing, filling any voids and raising the concrete. In only seconds it will reach its final volume. After curing, it will never lose its density and will maintain its compressive strength.

STEP ONE

Evaluate & Plan

The most important part of any project is diagnosing the issue at hand and planning the most effective fix. During step one we many drill a small hole in the concrete to fully evaluate the underlying cause with a small camera that is lowered into the hole that pivots to give us a full view of what’s below.

STEP TWO

Drill & Prep

Step two calls for the strategic drilling of 5/8″ holes in the concrete in locations that will most effectively lift the concrete back to level. After the hole placement is set and the drilling is completed we are ready to move on to the final steps. How big is a 5/8″ hole? About the size of a dime.

STEP THREE

Inject, Patch & Enjoy!

Using our all-in one trailer system we inject 2-part polyurethane foam into the open holes to the proper volume needed for expansion, making adjustments as we go. The 2-part foam starts as a liquid that expands as it cures. It cures in no time at all and is immediately walkable! Concrete is then patched into the hole and you are all set.

Who should I call for Concrete Raising?

Sunken concrete or sunken slabs that has generally shifted can be an unpleasant reality for many property owners. It can become a source of irritation that will only further deteriorate over time. No one wants to have to worry about sinking concrete and everything it entails but it can’t always be avoided for many individuals. People sometimes immediately think of pricey repairs and ongoing work that will cause even more stress. But that is not necessarily the case because of the advancements in technology that have been made to date.

A sunken floor can be caused by a number of things that depend on the individual’s specific circumstances. Often times the case is that a combination of factors is at work in regards to the issue. It is rarely a single driving force but a series of continual problems that work over time. One way that the concrete can begin to sink is the settling of the structure. Settling is what is commonly referred to as the house “settling”. Another reason that could be behind the shift is the freezing and thawing of the area over time.

Whatever the reason, there are routes for the repair of a sunken floor. With this in mind, one of the main options available on the market is concrete raising. This is the process of “raising” or lifting the concrete in the hope of achieving the leveling of the slab. When concrete raising is performed, it will fix the symptoms caused by the uneven layout of the floor as it was. These symptoms cover a wide range from safety hazards to potential water damage, especially around homes or buildings.

There are a few different methods that can be used and the term is very broad because of that. Some of the ways that the sunken floor can be fixed are mudjacking, concrete removal and reapplication, and foam jacking among others. These are usually performed by professionals due to the degree of knowledge needed to complete the task.

Mudjacking and foam jacking are very similar in that they are minimally invasive choices. They are both done by drilling small holes into the concrete and inserting a substance under the surface to elevate it. The key difference is the materials used. Mud jacking will insert new concrete under the preexisting slab to raise it while foam jacking involves the use of foam for the same purpose. Complete removal and reapplication was a popular method a long time ago but now is considered outdated by many.

Whatever the cause of sunken concrete, it can seem like an unmanageable task. But that doesn’t have to always be the case. Concrete raising is a simple and effective means of correcting uneven slabs without necessarily needing to break the bank or create undue chaos in the property owners lives. It will ensure the correct changes are made and remedy the situation with methods meant to last long term so that future repairs are less likely to be needed on the concrete that had caused the previous problems.

Slab settlement can affect new and old structures alike. Whether you are dealing with a sinking slab in your basement, garage, driveway or patio, a cracked sunken slab creates an uneven surface that can pose a safety hazard and loss of home value
